With respect to Cléopalette

Painting or sculpture ? It's the first question that comes to mind when observing the works of Cléopâtre Armstrong-Lachaize. There is definitely a frame with canvas except that the frame is three-dimensional while the canvas ties and unties within the space in accordance with a non-euclidian topology which reminds of theatrical curtains opening upon the artist's imagination.
The expression which emanates from Cléopâtre is enliving and jubilant. The artist transmits her energy to us while making us participate in her dialogue with the material through a personal reification, making her own the basic and fondamental elements such as wood and cloth.
